Chippewa Blueberry

Vaccinium x ‘Chippewa’

Chippewa has large dark blue fruit that ripens a week earlier than cultivar Northblue. Blueberries require an acidic soil with pH in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 for best results. Prairie soils can be amended with peat to lower pH, but poorly-drained soils should be avoided. Self-pollinating; however planting multiple cultivars often results in larger berries and better yields.
